Bauma 2016: what’s new?

Bauma, the international construction show, will take place from 11th to 17th April in Munich, Germany. This three-yearly fair covering 570.000m² is an excellent opportunity for meetings and discussions, and lets manufacturers unveil their new products or technical breakthroughs.

If you are unable to visit Bauma, here is a summary of the innovations presented.

Some of the latest innovations that will be presented at the fair are several new Komatsu products for the European market.

But Komatsu will also unveil the PC7000 mining excavator, which was developed with feedback from users in the mining sector. With this excavator, Komatsu responds to the needs of miners and extends its portfolio of loading machines in the 200-tonne category.

The new version of the BF300-2 paver will be revealed. Although particularly well designed for urban use, this paver can also be used in rural road construction and motorway repair. Bomag also presents five milling machines (planers). Finally, Bomag reveals the MPH 364, a soil stabiliser. There is no other machine in this weight category in the world.

In addition, Bomag will unveil its fifth generation of rollers (12-tonne category). The BW213, 219 and 226 models operate with the Variocontrol (BVC) compacting system, which has been improved again. These models are equipped with a big window to give the operator excellent visibility. The practical dashboard layout, adjustable steering wheel and big windows provide easier, safer handling for the operator.

Always one technological step ahead, Cummins will demonstrate its leadership by anticipating European emission control standards with its new generation of Stage V engines.

These engines are especially advanced in terms of their technologies and have several advantages (simplified installation, simplified maintenance, and more responsive and adapted power output).

Terex (Cranes & Port Solutions) will attend Bauma but does not wish to spoil the surprise concerning the products it plans to present. It seems, however, that Terex Cranes is going to present a new five-axle all-terrain model. Please visit our website from 11th April onwards to find out about their new products!

So, the 2016 show promises to be a vintage edition! If you have any questions about these innovations, please contact your BIA representative!
