Assembly of a PC2000-8 in West Africa

May 3, 2016 Uncategorized

BIA has recently commissioned a KOMATSU PC2000-8 hydraulic excavator on the site of one of its customers based in West Africa. The assembly was perfectly performed, even in spite of particularly severe conditions: above 45°C, no shadow, no infrastructure nor accommodation nearby,… on this new project under construction.

This new excavator comes to support the previous PC2000-8 that BIA commissionned a few months ago.

The two excavators of 200 tons equipped with a bucket of 12m³ will at first be used for the stripping of the new pits and then for the loading of the large volume of low-grade ore.

Here under, you can see a selection of pictures illustrating the assembly:

The BIA teams are on the customer’ site. The truck loaded with the various parts is on its way.
