Because technologies never stop changing and evolving, knowledge must be continuously honed. That is why BIA attaches enormous significance to training and takes pride in training its customers’ technicians and operators as well as its own technicians and engineers.
Training given by experts
The training programmes are designed by professionals who work in the field. Training can be administered through BIA instructors or even trainers from BIA’s suppliers (Bomag, Sandvik, etc).
For Komatsu equipment, BIA has several training modules given internally by experienced instructors at BIA or take place in the distributors’ factories. The supervisory staff of BIA (engineers, technicians) receive training both at the Komatsu Training Centre in Japan and at KMG in Düsseldorf, or even at KAC in the United States.
Dakar Training Centre
In order to provide its technicians as well as its own customers with quality education, in 2012 BIA built a new training centre in Dakar. Within this “Dakar Training Centre”, BIA has invested in high-level educational equipment and in high quality training.
Trainees have a training area of 400m² in which to perfect their knowledge (theory and practice), with the help of an experienced team of instructors. Class sizes are limited to 8.
So this centre has:
- 3 classrooms
- 1 electrical laboratory with a Komatsu HD 785-7 simulator
- 1 workshop equipped with mechanical and hydraulic components
At the end of their training, the participants will thus have acquired a real expertise certified by the manufacturers.
Training on job site
BIA also provides training for its customers’ operators directly on the sites. These are courses given in English or French, dealing with the following subjects: safety, knowledge of machines, inspection of machines.
Thanks to this wide range of training, BIA can also better meet the needs of its customers.
